" Life Enlightenment " project was funded by Zonta Club of Hong Kong East. From meetings with caregivers, we realized the difficulties and frustrations caregivers encounter in parenting of intellectually disabled children. To help caregiver coping with their issues, the idea of "Life Enlightenment" project was emerged. This project is responsible by our social worker as they can identify the actual needs of caregivers more efficiently. For caregivers in need of support, we provide counseling service or referral to the Social Welfare Department for more in-depth support.

In addition, the project will also offer variety of workshops and group activities.

Objectives of the Project:

1. Improve participant's self-image and confidence; 
2. Develop positive attitude toward life; 
3. Increase participant's awareness of ageing issues and prepare for it (parents and older adult members); and 
4. Planning and adapting to live in nursing home more comfortably.
